How do you get approximately 200 pre-school and elementary school-age children to be quiet for a couple of minutes?
Terrence Bennett, aka Terrence Taps, did it by showing the 1930s tap dancing style of Bill Robinson — better known by his stage name, Bojangles.
The audience was mostly children from various day care centers around Abilene. Seated around the walls were 50 or so parents and other adults. A low (and sometimes not so low) buzz of childish voices continued most of the time Terrence was on stage, but he rarely missed a beat.
